Think Global Women 2025: Taking Action for Equity on International Women’s Day

Think Global Women event was held at the Institute of Directors, London on March 7th 2025, dedicated to driving gender equity and amplifying women’s voices in leadership.

Our annual International Women’s Day gathering is where women in leadership, aspiring leaders, and friends come together to make meaningful strides towards a more inclusive workplace. This year, we not only discussed change but committing to action.

Keynote Speaker

Mark Freed, Co-Founder, Men For Inclusion “How to Achieve True Equality in the Workplace”. Mark emphasised that genuine inclusion enables a deeper understanding of individual strengths and contributions, building an environment where all employees, regardless of background, can thrive in alignment with shared values and behaviours.

Sarah Rozenthuler,  Chartered Psychologist, founder of Bridgework Consulting Ltd. In her session “Supercharged You: Leaning into Difficult Conversations”. Sarah will delve into the power of conversation as a transformative tool. Delegates will come away with an actionable strategy to lean into a challenging conversation. With inspiration from real-life stories and take-aways from psychological research, the talk helped delegates lean into having a difficult conversation with competence, confidence and clarity.

Think Global Women 2025 gave a rare opportunity to engage with pioneering leaders, industry experts and community reshaping the workplace in support of women’s advancement.

Through thought-provoking sessions, roundtable discussions, and real-world examples, we focused on actionable strategies to:

Elevate women into international leadership: Uncover strategies for increasing women’s representation in top roles and fostering a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion that supports female leaders at all stages of their careers, especially in underrepresented sectors and regions.

Champion global mobility: Explore the steps needed to make international career advancement more accessible to women of all ages, including overcoming dual-career barriers, undertaking global employment positions potentially in challenging geographical locations and ensuring transparent, supportive policies for women with a global career vision.

Involve men and build allies to facilitate change: Explore how to engage men in creating a truly inclusive workplace culture, championing gender equity to create lasting meaningful change.

Engage with education: Encourage children, especially young girls, to take up STEM subjects, explore ways to build confidence and workplace skills in young girls embarking on their careers, so they achieve their full potential, build exciting and fulfilling long-term careers.

Address pay disparity and equity: Gain insights into practical steps for closing the gender pay gap, ensuring salary transparency, and promoting a supportive workplace culture for women’s growth.

Capitalise on serendipity: Learn from our panel and roundtable discussions how to build on chance situations and encounters to develop positive career outcomes. Meet in person some of the women profiled in our 40 Outstanding Global Women who will share their stories

For Employers and Allies

Think Global Women 2025 is also a crucial space for allies and organisational leaders to deepen their understanding of the support structures that drive gender diversity.  We encouraged men to join us and hear from our Keynote Speaker, Mark Freed of Men for Inclusion, to show how to move the dial on diversity, equity and inclusion in your organisation.

Participants gained insights into the tangible benefits of an inclusive workplace, such as enhanced employee wellbeing, resilience, and the ability to attract and retain top talent. Together, we can create work environments where all employees thrive.

Be Part of the Change

This year’s event was structured to foster genuine connections and actionable outcomes. Participants contributed to a collaborative forum where new ideas flourish and concrete next steps are developed. Together, we addressed organisational actions and personal empowerment strategies for women to take charge of their career paths.
