AI Revolution in Education: Transforming Learning with Inspired AI

Every child in each classroom is different, so why are they all taught the same?
We all know that education should never be one-size-fits-all, but the constraints of traditional schooling have made classroom differentiation difficult for even the most devoted teachers — until now.

Once just a vision of the future, artificial intelligence (more commonly known as AI) has recently become a powerful reality with transformative potential. At King's InterHigh online school, we're harnessing the power of AI in education to help every student receive a personalised and effective learning experience, and the results have been nothing short of remarkable."Personalised learning" isn't just another buzzword. In fact, it's been a key focus for the UK's education department for over a decade now. Research estimates that one in seven students is neurodivergent, and even those without specific learning differences still have unique learning styles. The challenge, of course, has been that the typical classroom environment simply can't account for every single child's strengths and weaknesses.Today, artificial intelligence is revolutionising how we address this challenge. As part of the global schools group Inspired, we've integrated a cutting-edge system — Inspired AI — into our online schooling. This AI is far more than just a technological marvel. It's a dynamic tool designed specifically to enhance education, capable of understanding each student's individual learning needs and guiding them towards success.Image of young children studying at King's InterHigh

Proven Impact with Inspired AI

The proof of this success is in the data. Inspired Education Group's recent internal study showed that the performance average of participating students improved by 8.12 percentage points: equivalent to an entire grade boundary. This pilot program saw over 14,000 students trial the Inspired AI platform across 26 schools in 12 different countries, from the United Kingdom to Kenya to Vietnam. The impact of the platform, along with the success of the pilot, was further substantiated through quantitative data collected at our five selected physical schools: Fulham School in London, the British School of Bahrain in Hamala, King’s College Soto in Madrid, King’s College Bahamas, and the International School of Europe in Monza, Milan.Image of King's InterHigh student studying outside

Key Findings

Other compelling results have emerged from the pilot study data, including that:
  • 50% of students felt that their learning and progression had been enhanced by Inspired AI.
  • 18% of participating teachers recommended Inspired AI as a learning tool.
  • 31% of students would recommend Inspired AI as a useful learning tool.
  • More than two-thirds of teachers (66.08%) found it helpful in lesson planning.

AI's Role in Education

At King’s InterHigh, the Inspired AI platform leverages artificial intelligence to build students their own personalised learning pathways in subjects like English, Maths, and Science. Using initial diagnostic testing to assess each student's strengths and weaknesses, the platform tailors their exercises and modules accordingly. This approach, combined with the expertise of teachers, addresses students' unique weak spots and knowledge gaps and amplifies their strengths across key subjects. Notably, students saw the most significant improvement in biology, with an additional 10.6% boost in performance, and chemistry, with an extra 9.4%.The outcomes are clear: AI in education is no longer just a concept, but a real, current revolution in the way we learn and teach. Our success with Inspired AI is just one example of how artificial intelligence can transform education worldwide. Today, we're using this technology to help create personalised learning experiences that dramatically improve student performance. As the capabilities of this technology continue to evolve, the role of AI in education will only expand further, creating a future for education where every student receives the opportunity to achieve their full potential.King's InterHigh student at desk
