BBIS Berlin Brandenburg International School

Berlin Brandenburg International School (BBIS) has been providing 25 years of education for the international and internationally minded families in the capital region of Germany.

Located at the border between the preferred residential Berlin areas of Zehlendorf, Dahlem and Grunewald, and the exclusive districts of Potsdam, the school offers a campus feeling on over 350.000 square meters of own land. The majority of students use the ten BBIS school buses. Language of instruction is English, German, French, Spanish and Mandarin are taught further languages. The 700 students represent 65 different nationalities, about 100 teachers come from 25 countries.

As one of a few schools world wide, BBIS offers all four programs of the International Baccalaureate Organization, including the new Careers Program. Graduates were accepted by top universities like Oxford, Imperial, Princeton, Georgetown, Humboldt and FU Berlin, and many more. A concept of holistic education starts with a Reggio Emilia based Early Education Centre for 3 to 5 year old children. Autonomy and self-confidence together with an awareness of the social responsibility that comes with top education are BBIS key goals. Small classes guarantee positive student - teacher interaction and relationships. The core school day lasts from 8:00 to 15:00, with a broad offer of after school sports and activities until 16:35 in which half of the students participate.
