The annual Relocate Global international networking reception is an established highlight of the relocation calendar. Read our report of the 2017 event, and view the photographs.
Relocate Global’s 2017 networking reception, held on 23 February at London’s prestigious Institute of Directors, in Pall Mall, was attended by more than 100 international global mobility and relocation professionals and suppliers.
Timed so that delegates to
Worldwide ERC’s London Summit on 24 February could attend, this popular annual event was again sponsored by The Apartment Service's
TAS Alliance.
As in previous years, it was clear that guests, who included HR managers, global mobility professionals, and representatives of leading international schools, welcomed the opportunity to make connections, share insights and socialise in a relaxed atmosphere. They came from as far afield as the USA, Singapore, Australia and Dubai, as well as from France, Denmark and Germany.

New education guides launched
The event saw the launch of
Relocate’s new
Guide to Education & Schools in the UK and the eagerly awaited second edition of its acclaimed
Guide to International Education & Schools.
Welcoming guests, Fiona Murchie,
Relocate’s managing editor, spoke of the importance of inspiring future generations to take their place in the world and make a difference. She also praised the part played by HR global mobility and relocation professionals in promoting successful international assignments and relocations by supporting families making often complex education and schooling decisions.
Relocate Awards 2017: call for entries
Fiona Murchie also reminded guests that the deadline for entering this year’s
Relocate Awards, 31 March, was only five weeks away, and urged them to start work on their submissions.
She added, “This is a very special year, as it is the awards’ tenth anniversary. We would like to see even more entries showcasing the invaluable and cutting-edge work of those across the profession, from HR global mobility specialists to HR in areas such as talent and change management teams – not forgetting the full range of relocation specialists and experts in areas such as immigration, finance and property, who are part of the jigsaw that keeps companies and organisations growing and able to respond to challenges and change. And we’d like to encourage even more international entries this year.
“With
ten categories, there’s plenty to choose from – and it’s free to
enter.”
