ISKL open day
The International School of Kuala Lumpur (ISKL) believes its success in preparing students for their future depends on how well it supports them in developing 21st-century skills today. Self-directedness, the ability to think creatively, reason critically, and communicate effectively are important life skills that are integral components of ISKL’s curriculum and culture from Early Childhood through to Grade 12. Echoing the sentiment, Julia Love, ISKL’s Director of Admissions emphasized the need for parents to ensure their school of choice is future-ready in every aspect. Julia says, "Here at ISKL, we encourage our students to be future-ready,  self-directed, and successful in managing real-world complexities. Our state-of-the-art ISKL campus provides our students a flexible and collaborative learning environment."The school’s call to action to "Be All You Are" encourages our students to explore their passions and interests, achieve their goals, and every day learn about the world around them as well as themselves. ISKL’s purpose-built campus in providing an advanced learning environment is integral to supporting this ethos.Having grown to become one of Malaysia’s leading international schools, ISKL understood the importance of flexible spaces when designing the campus, as the school focuses on nurturing the individual instead of a one-size-fits-all approach to education. Why? Because every child learns differently, and our mission is to provide every learner with the flexibility to choose the pathway best suited to their abilities, interests, and aspirations. Alongside ISKL's world-renowned IB Diploma programme, PRAXIS 2030 and Pursuits are two innovative academic options that offer our HS students even more study paths to choose from. Ensuring students are future-ready is a critical component of ISKL’s vision and mission to nurture highly successful, spirited, and socially responsible global citizens. In a more uncertain and rapidly changing reality, the need for an adaptable, agile, and forward-thinking approach to learning is more significant than ever. ISKL’s role is to guide, mentor, and support students as they take on new responsibilities, face challenges, and learn to adapt.ISKL will be holding its Open Day this March for parents who would like to learn more about how ISKL’s approach will prepare their child/ren for the future.
