As an IB World School since 2004, Chatsworth International School prides itself on providing top quality International Baccalaureate education at exceptional value, guided by our educational philosophy to inspire, educate and enlighten. Our graduates receive the Chatsworth High School Diploma accredited by Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) in addition to the IB Diploma (IBDP) or Certificate.Chatsworth provides a balanced and challenging academic experience and is committed to equipping students with the life skills and knowledge they need to thrive and become principled, balanced thinkers and global communicators. We are very honoured to be awarded winner of the Best IB School Award and highly commended in the Best School for the Arts Award in the WhichSchoolAdvisor (Singapore) Best Schools Awards 2022. Chatsworth is also an inaugural gold winner of The Curriculum Awards – International Baccalaureate at Singapore Education Awards 2023, organised by HoneyKids Asia. The double win of the IB curriculum award further attest to the Chatsworth's excellent delivery of an IB education and commitment to its values and learning approaches. In our inquiry-driven and nurturing environment, we take pride in providing an individualised approach that recognises and celebrates every individual, within and outside of school. At the end of Year 6 at the primary school, students will complete a capstone project of their primary years journey with a PYP Exhibition. Choosing a topic of their personal interest based on one of the themes, students inquire and apply essential elements of the PYP transdisciplinary skills into their project, where they then showcase at an exhibition. In the middle school, our MYP5 (Year 11) students are able to seek a formal qualification with the IB MYP e-Assessment at the end of the programme, leading to MYP course results or the MYP certificate. Chatsworth is presently one of the few international schools in Singapore that implement the full MYP e-Assessment, an IB assessment model that helps to demonstrate students’ preparation for further study, including participation in advanced academic and career-related programmes. The IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) forms the basis of study for the final two years at Chatsworth and is a rigorous and broad international curriculum. Each year, our graduates receive a wide range of university offers from universities all over the world. Class of 2023 has achieved a top score of 44 points and school average of 36 points, surpassing the global average. For the past 5 years, Chatsworth school average has consistently been 36 points with a high of 39 points in 2022.One of the key goals of a Chatsworth education is to foster the development of caring global citizens who are responsible, respectful and compassionate. Students at all year levels have been involved in service activities from fundraising for local charities to raising awareness of environmental issues on campus. Chatsworth students love to initiate projects and take action by using their academic knowledge and skills to address genuine community needs within the school and outside of the school. Some of the examples of service projects students have undertaken include conducting food and clothing drives, preparing care packs for healthcare workers and migrant workers in the midst of Covid-19 pandemic and conducting various fundraisers for our adopted charities.
Mother Tongue Programme
As a school, Chatsworth aims to provide as much diversity in language instruction as possible, allowing students to inquire in their Mother Tongue and aspire to multilingualism. The Mother
Tongue Language Programme runs from MYP1 to DP2 (Years 7 to 13) and follows the IB Middle
Year Programme and Diploma Programme. Mother tongue courses are designed for students
who have native and near native levels of their Mother Tongue language. MYP Mother tongue
studies are guided by external mother tongue teachers/ tutors who are trained in IB MYP
concepts and assessment.
Scholarship for IB Diploma Programme
At Chatsworth, we offer IB Diploma scholarships that recognise students for not only their exceptional academic performance but also for their contributions to the wider Chatsworth community. In each academic year scholarships are available for internal students as well as external applicants for our two-year IB Diploma programme that pays for 100% of school fees. In addition to our 100% scholarship, there are partial scholarships available to internal applicants as well.Location and Facilities
Situated just a 10 minute drive from the heart of the city, the school sits atop Singapore's only tropical rainforest, surrounded by lush greenery with inspiring views. The campus is equipped with wide-ranging facilities including state-of-the-art playgrounds, indoor sports hall, basketball court, swimming pool, football pitch, multi-purpose hall, drama/blackbox, soundproof music rooms, libraries, makerspace and more. With a small and close-knit community, Chatsworth families love the home away from home environment and the pleasant sights and sounds the campus location has to offer.“One of my favourite things about Chatsworth is the diversity - I have friends from Sri Lanka, Britain and Japan. There is also a wide variety of CCAs including pottery and sign language. Even though not everyone has things in common, students can all come participate and enjoy the activities.” - Andrew Browne, Year 6 (2020-21)Visit the Chatsworth International School Directory page
