Rainforest and the South China Sea: a magical place to study

Brunei’s Jerudong International School combines a stunning location with exceptional teaching and facilities. Principal Barnaby Sandow talks to Relocate about internationalism and recruiting the top STEM talent.

With 1,700 students from 55 nations, Jerudong International School (JIS) occupies the world’s largest international-school campus, tucked away in the small, beautiful country of Brunei.One of only 54 HMC schools outside the UK and only 120 accredited British Schools Overseas (BSO), it is well placed to offer the best in international education.Since opening in 1997, Jerudong has invested heavily in its infrastructure. In 2011, it opened a multimillion-Brunei-dollar purpose-built performing-arts centre. In 2012, another multimillion-Brunei-dollar academic centre came on line.
