The 20th Anniversary of Relocate magazine and Relocate Global is an appropriate time to honour two people who have contributed to the richness of thought leadership across Global Mobility for many years.
The 20th Anniversary Award for Outstanding Contribution to Research and Thought Leadership goes to John Rason, Group Head of Consulting, Santa Fe Relocation. John has delivered numerous research reports, white papers and a series of webinars and panel discussions showcasing the value of Global Mobility and teasing out the importance of international experience.
John Rason was travelling on the 6 June and not able to attend the Awards Gala Dinner when the surprise announcement was made to enthusiastic applause at the presentation ceremony.
The delayed presentation by Fiona Murchie, Managing Editor, was made in person to John Rason at a summer lunch hosted by Santa Fe Relocation in London with research and thought leadership team colleagues from Santa Fe Relocation, Julia Palmer COO and HRO, Alistair Hunt, Sales Director and Kevin O'Connor, Global Head of Design and Marketing and joined by contributing report author Dino Jangra, Partner at Crowe UK.
The award was made to highlight the importance of research and thought leadership in advancing knowledge. Santa Fe Relocation has been generous in sharing their research and report findings with the global mobility industry.
As group head of consulting, John Rason has been an advocate for collaboration and advancing knowledge to improve global mobility practice. Santa Fe’s award winning 2021-23 report series featured four comprehensive studies with accompanying webinars reaching thousands of participants. The fifth is in the pipeline to be published shortly.
This award celebrates John Rason’s perspective as a business leader, HR professional and former expat. He is always curious and empathetic putting people at the heart of his work. He sees the bigger picture and is passionate about the value of international experience. A great communicator he is able to distil the complexity of global mobility and combine his understanding of management models to promote the importance of nuturing talent and professional development to achieve growth and excellence.
His thought leadership is helping to lay the ground for the more strategic role global mobility professionals will need to take them to the next level.
